| I have a co op cashiminder account which opened about 5 weeks ago. My BR order was stamped on the 6/7/09 and I got the order in the post yesterday, thus I have an imminent meeting with the OR. I havent used the co op account at all - would I be able to use it now, or will that account be frozen even though its never been used? |

| Give the bank a call and check whether it has been frozen or not. Normally these account aren't frozen but it's best to check before trying to have wages/benefits paid in. |

I agree that you need to check.
Even if it had been frozen, the OR will normally write to the bank telling them that there is no interest in it.
The Co-op are normally pretty good anyway.

| So before I have the interview with the OR, I can activate the cashminder account with the Coops consent - they know why I applied in the first place I was very honest with them - then I can ask wages to pay into that accouint rather than my current one with the Halifax that will be frozen, plus d debits and so? Or should I hold the cashminder in abeyance and ask the OR if I can use it? God its confusing and I have been awake all night fretting and waiting for my landlord to come to the door - stupid cos theres no clause in the tenancy that evicts me, and she knew I had an IVA, but I am frantic. My ex however sits pretty in marital home with new partner! Grrrrrrrr |

Should be no problem at all getting everything transferred now to the new account. You can tell the OR at your interview. As long as you have no debt with it there won't be a problem. I am with Nat West and opened and used it a good few weeks before BR and had no problems. Yes I understand what you mean about your ex. Sitting pretty yet probably massively responsible for the situation you are in now. Been there, wore the tee-shirt many many times. I am a firm believer, however, that "What goes around, comes around", so sure you will be the more sorted and contented person once you have taken this massive step. I know I am much more contented and less bitter now, and am enjoying my new life. Good luck. |

Ta Frosie you really cheered me up there! So I should chuck stuff into the coop account and get wages to pay into that before my interview with OR as long as I explain what I have done?
Sounds dodgy with Halifax by the sound of it, so will get branch approval and be turned down by head office by the sounds of it hmm we shall see. If needs be at least I have the CO op account to fall back on and have to say co op have been FAB with me. |

Glad I cheered you up! Yes, that is what I did, got my salary put into NatWest and detailed it on my SOA. There is varying advice of whether you need to list it as there is no debt attached but I did because the form asked for all accounts etc. so detailed it. I told the judge as well as the OR and both said that they would have no interest in it. May be worth asking Co-op if they are likely to freeze? as it is at the bank's discretion more so than the OR. On the day of BR I went into NatWest and told them that I had "done the deed" and would there be a problem? The clerk said no, as Nat West very BR friendly and true to their word, 4 months on, no problems. I wish you all the luck in the world for your new life. Best wishes. Rosie. |

| Hi Rhiana, just realised you are post-BR court date, so even more reason to start getting everything paid into your Co-op account rather than your Halifax as they may freeze the Halifax once the OR notifies them. | Thanks Frosie I will do that then. Will send wages my co op account details tomorrow. I also will list on the SOA as I dont want anything seemingly underhand - just want to survive this really. Will call Co op though to be sure. Ta so muh for your help |
