Hi ellie, this is a link to the section of the Insolvency Service website which deals with IPA,s, it lists all the sources of income and which expenditure is allowable, there is also a link to a spreadsheet with amounts in 31.7.6 and an income calculator in 31.7.16.

Hi Ellie thats right you can. Think its best to call it a domestic break rather than a holiday.

There is 3 in our family myself, wife and daughter and we had £60 per month allowed for that.

I went BR on my own and was allowed £20 per month for a holiday.

Just bear in mind that if you are close to getting an IPA this is one of the things that may be reduced or disallowed.

Tomorrow is a mystery, yesterday is history, today is the present, a gift to make the most of.

we got £60 and there's just the two of us, but I made sure I noted that this is more often than not used to visit disabled father in law in wiltshire (we're in devon), so if there is any reason that makes your travel more often etc, mention it on the form :)
