Hi we went BR on the 26th April this year, we have today recieved a letter from the OR for an application of early discharge.

With this letter we have another IPOQ. When we went BR we never had a IPA because of our relativly low income but we had about £30 left over after everything was paid. In the months since my wife has lost her job so on the new IPOQ do we take off money we originally put down for things like domestic breaks and such as if we left these on our balance would be something like -250 after everything was paid or do we leave it at that.

Cant believe how well things have went and a lot of that is down to this amazing site.

Thanks

Mick

Hi Mick,

Yes, remove the domestic break and other things you can no longer afford since your wife has lost her job.

Good luck with the ED.

Thanks for your help, do I have to make sure that the balance will be 0 or is it ok if it is still a minus balance.

Thanks again

I would say that it should be zero as a minus balance would look like you will be starting down the path towards debt once again.

The IPOQ is just to check that your income hasn't increased to the point that you are eligible for an IPA and from what you have said there is no chance of this.

when we did both first ipoq and the updated one, I asked OR if negative was ok, and they said that was fine and most people have one. So I'd put down what you need hon :)
