Hi

Simply from my experience, I had letters and calls (until I changed the number!!) for a couple of weeks. You may want to do this - lots of us do and it gives you some respite.. It is free and you should go ex-directory - that way the lenders will not be able to trace you.

I had an initial interview was the same day as the petition and gave the OR on that day all of my creditors so it all happened very fast. I had my proper interview about 2 weeks after the petition.

It depends how busy your OR office is - they are all busy at the moment. I am still getting a small trickle of letters - 1 or 2 a month. (My BR was mid May)

If you do speak to them,. you could just say I am BR - the court was XXX and the BR reference is ZZZ - that will get them off your back

Good luck, Richard

I was declared BR mid-May as well and have just had a call from my bank (Abbey) asking when I am going to be paying back my overdraft!

I was told by the OR's assistant that it can take up to 10 weeks for the OR to contact the creditors. It will take a few weeks after that for them to update their records and for this to trickle down to the call centres.

You should not use the cards if you have gone BR and should destroy them.

Hi

As Mick has said, they should NOT be used now as you are BR - I cut mine in two and passed them to the OR at interview!!

Good luck and keep posting here as your situation develops or if you have a question - rather than worry - share your situation with this forum
