Bailiffs don:t come around after you are made bankrupt , The official reciever is interested in things of significant value i.e. cars worth more than 2k ( and any car if you are not working ) antiques, property with equity etc etc. They are not generally interested in personal household belongings unless you bought a 50 inch plasma on a credit card VERY RECENTLY.
Bailiffs however can come around as a result of court action taken by creditors BEFORE you are made bankrupt.
I would recommend speaking directly to either the forum helpline or one of the professional forum experts who can put your mind at rest.
Unfortunately everyone down at the pub and most families are "experts" in bankruptcy and most of the time they coudn't be further from the truth.
