When petitioning for bankruptcy are you under a duty to inform the creditors before the first Court hearing (i.e. before an order is in place, or before an arrangement has been set up?)

hi gemz

you are not under any ibligation to inform anyone t all. However if things are getting a little dire with telephone calls etc it may help advising them that you are going to court to declare Br on X date.

they will usuallu leave you alone and will simply ask you to call them afterwards with the magic number ( bankruoptcy number)
