I am discharged from Bankruptcy but still have an IPA of £63 per month. Work reduced my hours from 38 to 20 per week and my partner lost his job so I contacted my OR and he sent me an IPOQ form which I filled in and sent back. I was given a three month payment holiday until November 09. I have just received a letter enclosing a new IPOQ form for me to fill in which I am doing, work has reduced my hours again to 16 a week so there is no way I could afford to pay any IPA. My OR has requested proof of earnings (which isn't a problem because I can send him my new contract and wage slips) but also bills. I have never been asked this before so why now. The bills aren't in my name so do they have a right to do this?

Im not hiding anything, its just there have been no changes, if anything they have gone up!

The IPA will go up and down depending upon your income. The OR/RTLU has a right to confirm the amount you pay for your bills even if they are not in your name as you contribute to them. If you do not want to send the bills in just send the wage slips in with the IPOQ. If the OR/RTLU asks for the bills then send them in and say you forgot about sending them in originally.

They may just look at your wage slips and realise there is no chance of you paying an IPA so not even bother requesting the bills.
