Hi all,

I have bankrupt and its all done. I have a final question relating to property?

I owned a property at the time of bankruptcy which was listed on my petition. The official receiver was not interested as it had negative equity.

My ex partner tried to sell it without my acceptance and after the bankruptcy was complete I was asked to sign to sell it with Northern Rock and the solicitors

After taking advise I was told this would sign me back into debt and incur solicitors fees. The house has now been withdrawn from the market , my ex partner lives there and is paying all the bills and mortgage(she had an affair so she agreed to this).

Is there a way to get my name off the mortgage or will it stop on till she cannot afford to keep up payments? I relaise I cannot be pursude for any debts it has now been passed to her however i just wanted to know what 'could' happen.

i.e she could keep paying the bills till the mortgage ends in 2011? Northern Rock aren't pursuing her yet as the arrears are less than a month.

If you didn't purchase the BI in the house you won't be liable for anything.
