we are declaring bankruptcy and have sold 2 vehicles that we had. could we use some of the money towards paying off equal amounts to all creditors and use some to pay for a months rent up front as we need to move house as i am pregnant with our second child so need a bigger house??
If you are going to go down the bankruptcy route in the near future there is no point in paying monies to your creditors - when are you considering filing for bankruptcy? There would be nothing wrong in holding onto the money for bond and first months rent on new accommodation

Are you in private rented accommodation? It seems that you may be as you refer to a months rent in advance.
As you already have a child and another little on on the way, why not approach the council or a housing association?
The rent wil be far more affordable and there is more security for you and your family. Sadly, with the private rental market, you are only as secure as two months notice and that can happen every year, or even after six months!
Good luck - totally agree with Malanie on whether to pay any creditors.
we are in private rented housing, we have security because it is a family member who has bought the house as an investment and wont be selling anytime soon, many thanks
