Hello, I was declared bankrupt on 27th october 2009, when I spoke to the official receiver he told me that I could do a days overtime "now and again" but if it becomes a regular thing I need to make him aware of this as its extra income. What I am wondering is - if I do this overtime (or more) each month, what percentage would he take from my overtime? Thank you |

Are you currently paying an IPA or would this overtime mean that you would be liable for an IPA? If so, the the OR can take between 50% and 70% depending upon how much disposable income you have. |

HI, We only have £14 disposable income on the SOA so he is not taking anything from me, he has changed my tax code to nil so I wont be paying any tax now but have to pay it to him. Im just wanting to know that if I do some overtime (for money for xmas) what percentage would he likely take off me? If its 100% then I wont be doing any but if its only half then I will still be left with something which is better than nothing, thanks Dez |

hello,
ive just had some overtime thru, i thought it would be around £400 - i spoke to Or who said i could keep it all as long As it wasnt regular. my file was tgen passed to RTLU and when i got paid overtime it amounted to £800
...i thought coz it was more than i originally thought and my file was now with a different OR i best ask again about this money, i heard back today and they are still happy for me to keep it as long as it will not be a regular thing.
hope this helps
all the best for the future

realistically it probably will depend on the individual OR many things vary across the different OR offices around the country. if you contact them they should be able to give you a good idea of a figure that they would be interested in bothering with. contact in these matters also goes to show you are being straight with them

Don't worry or know that worrying is as effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing bubble gum.(Baz Lurman) RevivaUK helped me through it all i can't recommend them enough!! |
