I am thinking of filing for Bankruptcy as an absolute last resort. I own a house in Yorkshire and I'm renting a property in Gloucester. We had to move through my husbands work and as the houses weren't selling we decided to rent it out. They tenants have 6 months left and have paid up front so therefore we used that money to keep the hounds at bay. My question is what happens to the house in Yorkshire, do we have to pay them the rent back? It has NO equity because we bought at the peak of the market.
