Hi,

What would be the repercussions if you go BR, and you are paying into an IPA, and 3 /4 months down the line you are made redundant?

is the IPA order suspended until alternative employment is secured by the debtor?

Thanks.

Quite simply, yes.

The IPA lasts for three years or until your circumstances change. You should write to the OR enclosing confirmation of your redundancy and your IPA will be suspended indefinitely.

All the best

as Blackie has said no problem there
an IPA is based on your income , if you do not have an income you cannot pay one
any redundancy pay during BR (but not after discharge) would have to be declared to the OR and you may lose some of it
