The IVA company you are with do not sound much help! There is no way you could keep up with an IVA when you do not have any income other than benefits and it doesn't sound like they are willing to allow a payment break.

If your IVA fails (3 missed payments) then you are able to file for BR and without any income this is probably your only option. You will need to inform your IP that you intend to let the IVA fail (or don't have a choice) and, if you have been in an IVA for 2 yrs, it would be a shame to let it fail now. Speak to your IP and inform them of your situation. See if they would negotiate a payment break with the creditors and let them know if this isn't possible then your only option is BR.

thanks for the info and i will bear hat you said in mind my,real worry is that if i do not keep up with the iva i will be harrassed by the creditors,my other problem is that the inland revenue will be looking for 2 years back tax,is there anyone i could call to talk about the whole situation and get all the revelant information,i think my total debts will be around £16 to £17 thousand but i realise it is not a vast ammount but after divorce 7 years ago i was left with nothing and have never been able to make any progress with getting my life sorted out,no holidays or luxuries in life so i have been trying but just seem to be going backwards

Hi The CCCS (consumer credit counciling service) and the National debtline will talk to you over the phone and go through the options for free. CAB is also a good idea but they usually have a waiting list to go see them, just stick them into google.
