If i am looking to get a mortgage after i have been discharged from the bankruptcy does anyone know of any good websites/lenders? Does it make a difference if a partner has good credit score?

Hi kn1,

You will be able to obtain a mortgage, but the rate will be very high, especially in the current environment.

If purchasing new then as mortgage products tighten up due to the credit crunch then a higher deposit will be needed.

The higher deposit you have the better the interest rate.

Although your partner may have good credit you are still a high risk and classed as adverse therefore they will bass the mortgage product against your history.

Kind Regards,
