Clive, Once the District Judge has looked at your statement of affairs and declared you bankrupt, that is it, you are bankrupt, no inbetween, and the beginning of a fresh start.
At some courts you can go straight from the court to the OR's office, others you go home and wait for a call from the case clerk, who'll clarify certain things with you, like bank accounts, property, whether you've been self employed etc, then an examiner will call to arrange a telephone interview, which apart from confirming the information on your SOA, is to deal with any assets(regarding cars there is plenty of information on other posts I've made), life policies, and income and expenditure to establish if you qualify for an IPA.
Once that's complete, you shouldn't have too much to do with the OR unless you have property, or qualify for an IPA.
Any further questions,let us know.
