I am resident in Portugal and have approx 21000 debt on UK credit cards all 5 year plus old. Can I make myself bankrupt without affecting my staus in Portugal Can I arranged and IVA from Portugal. Do you know what the statute of limitation in Portugal is on unsecured debts.

because you are

1. Outside England and Wales and in another EU country

&

2. Have been outside England and Wales for over 3 years

unfortunately you are unable to petition for Bankruptcy in the UK
