If I declare myself bankrupt, as a self employed person, I have a car, which I use for my business, it's probably only worth £5-600, are the receivers allowed to take this, as it would mean that then I cannot make a living as I need the car to do my job (painter & decorator)

Hi jane.jm,

Welcome to the forum.

As debtinfo has said, it's unlikely that they would take this from you as you need it for your job.

I advise you have a chat to one of the experts to go through your options.
