Hello all

I have now cancelled my BT landline because I never used it and it was just an expense I could do with out. When I phoned them up to cancel they offered me a discount of £4.00 per month of my standard line rental with no haggling at all for the next 12months.

I just though I would share this for anyone who is currently going through there BR as a way of saving some money. I know its only £4.00 per month but every little helps!!

Carl

Only when the last tree has died, the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realise that we cannot eat money.

Last IPA payment made on 28th June 2010 and I'm now looking forward to getting married in September 2012 - I'm proof that you can go BR and come out the other side.

Tracey

I've been able to get so much information and reassurance from this website during my 12month BR, I just hope that it may help someone on here.

I must admit is does wind me up that they will offer you this extra discount if you threaten to leave to try and keep your business so if anyone on here currently has a BT landline, ring them up threatening to leave and get yourself a discount an extra discount on your line rental!!

Carl

I'm sure it will, and I hope you stick around and keep posting as it's good for new people to read the stories of people who've gone through BR and come out the other side.

I left BT last year, went with Sky. BT never offered me anything to stay with them and Sky have been brilliant.

We changed from BT to Sky when we moved 4 years ago and I have to say I wouldn't change back as Sky are so much cheaper.

It annoys me when companies only give you a good deal when you threaten to leave!

Know what you mean.

BT just got worse and worse while we were them - had very few problems with Sky and they are cheaper as Tracey says.
