Hello,

I went BR in April of this year, and have been out of the country until recently. I am about to start a new job, which will leave me with a rather healthy disposable income after living expenses are deducted. Due to currently being unemployed I pay no IPA, however I'm more than aware this will now change when I inform the OR of my job. My question is this: As I have a student loan, which is in arrears to the tune of £6000, how is this going to work?

For example, if my disposable income is £1000 per month, I know that the Student Loans company are going to expect that to be paid to them until my arrears with them are cleared. What will then happen with the IPA as I will technically have no disposable income?

well first you need to ask the student loans company what repayment schedule is required

Isn't it all down to your earnings? I don't know whether or not they will accept any less.

Follow through
Make your dreams come true
Don't give up the fight
You will be alright
'Cause there's no one like you in the universe
