I am going BR on 5th August, for the past 4 years I have been in a DMP with creditors with still £25,000 outstanding hence BR, how can I expect this to be looked upon by the OR when he picks through my life.
Also I saw someone mention that they go through a timeline of debt do they look at every card, loan etc.
I just wondering what to expect and be prepared. |

The OR will want to know why your circumstances have changed to make the DMP unaffordable. They will also look at your debt profile, but on the basis that you have been in a repayment plan for the last four years, are unlikely to spend too much time on this to be honest.
For an informal chat about any financial difficulties, or advice as to the options available, I can be contacted via my website - www.melaniegiles.com |

Although I was on a DMP I found myself getting into further debt outside of that, it was a vicious circle spiraling out of control this is why I am going BR to finally get it all sorted. I suppose I'll get my wrists slapped for getting into further deby whilist in a DMP. |

Hi Sueann,
The OR will examine your conduct prior to and during your BR. The fact that you have tried a DMP shows willing on your part and will be looked favourably on by the OR.
