I was made bancrupt 15 years ago and want to apply for a mortgage now. Do I need to declare it?

Hi Gail,

If it asks on the form if you've even been bankrupt before then yes, if it asks have you been bankrupt in the last 6 years then no, so it depends what it actually says.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

If the question is asked 'have you ever been bankrupt' then I would think that you would have to declare it. Otherwise you don't have to.
