Does my employer have to be told I am bankrupt?

Thank you very much

Hi Simon

The Or will usually write to the landlord so prob best to tell friend in advance. it will not effect him or effect his credit file.

employer, not always told but your tax code will be altered to NT , this in its own is not a sign post of BR.

some employers do require by the terms of the job for you to inform them of BR.

BR can be very stressful and sometimes employers are more supportive when they are aware, perhaps an anon phone call to the HR department to see how the land lies

Good Luck Richard,

Hi and welcome to the forum.

As stated, your landlord will not be affected by your going BR.

As far as your employment is concerned, they are not informed but the NT code may well alert them that this is a possibility. What industry do you work in?
