Hi, I have recently gone bankcrupt and my official receivers meeting is on wednesday, by telephone. I am scared that I may lose my car, I use it for work etc and it is the only car in our household. Do they work on a maximum value car you are allowed to keep? I have a renault clio, 2003

Thankyou! Ive looked on auto trader and the prices vary from £2500 - £3500. My clio is only a basic model so hopefully I'll be ok. Thanks for your help.

Put up a good fight Joanna, as the car is of borderline value and they may well claim it initially.

For an informal chat about any financial difficulties, or advice as to the options available, I can be contacted via my website - www.melaniegiles.com

Hi Jo,
Melanie gave me a good tip off; they usually use Parkers Car Quotes as their valuations which are generally more realistic than autotrader. Have a look there.
