Hi Hanlou
Can you not ask a relative to use their account for the time being, that is what i did, then opened my coop account the day of our hearing, that way i did not have a coop account to close and could start afresh.
Only a thought ;-)

I have a cashminder account, which I opened prior to going bankrupt, so that everything was in place - as the only money in the account was the money I needed for everyday living, the OR advised the bank that they were not interested in my account and it was therefore not frozen. I do think it would be easier to phone up again and apply for the account, that way you have less messing about to do after your bankruptcy. |

If you are really unsure I would suggest you start the application process 10 days before going Br.
Your account is unlikely to be open before the day, so you don't need to put the account numbers on the form.
Just remember to leave your payroll department enough time between opening the new account and payday for them to make sure the salary goes into the right account.

We applied for bank a/c's about a week before our BR date as Paul has suggested. That way yiou are not telling any lies on the application if it asks if you are BR, and you are not telling lies on the court papers about a bank a/c as it would not be open.. |
