I'm not getting wound up! All I want to know is whether I can have a full debit card, which would make life easier, and if customer services are telling me one thing and Jo something else then I would like them to clarify.

I have no complaints about the account, and while I'm generally happy with the electron it's a pain that it's not always accepted online or at pay at the pump petrol stations.

Tomorrow is a mystery, yesterday is history, today is the present, a gift to make the most of.

Hi all

I know that these places never seem to know what the other is doing so it will be interesting to see what the outcome is with their debit card.

I have a PAYG credit/debit card, its costs me £4.95 pm but i use that mainly online and out and about.

I do use my electron card and have found both usefull but the Coop need to clarify there new T&Cs otherwise there was no point in making them updated.

I don't have (and don't want!) a credit card! I also don't want to pay for a prepaid card, and I can't understand why everywhere doesn't accept electron.

That's the reason I've written to them Jo. Why send out amended Ts & Cs if the staff don't know about them? And if there is no change then why send them out in the first place?!?!

Thats my sentiments exactly, Skip.

It will be interesting to see what the outcome is with this. I take it you have heard nothing yet from them.

Nothing. I probably won't until after Christmas now (if they reply), but as soon as I hear from them I'll let you know.

OH got his card from Coop today after opening the account last weekend. It's a Visa debit card. We were expecting an Electron, so this is a pleasant surprise.

Mr & Mrs, was the Visa Debit card on a Cashminder account or Current account?

Also, did he apply before or after BR?

Cheers.

It's a cashminder and he's opened it in preperation for his bankruptcy in January, so it won't be used until then. However, he did tell Coop he was going bankrupt and they wrote it on the application.

Just read the terms and conditions for a cashminder account on the co-op website, it says it will issue an Electron OR a Debit Card.

Details are on "terms and conditions"

Hi Scott

I called the Coop just after the new T&C were announced they informed me at that time it was subject to being a discharged BR and also how the account is conducted, but saying that M&M i think it is have been given the Debit card.

So there is hope, i think ;-)
