Thanks John, will the reciever mention this "BI" I have no mortgage arrears as the debt of 35k is a bank loan (unsecured) and cards, finally would you suggest I get an estate agents valuation on the property? the mortgage is £179K and the top price for selling in my area is £180k?

Hi

yes once the OR has established the value of the BI you will be offered the opportunity to purchase.
It is cheaper for a spouse / partner / 3rd party to do so than it isfor you to buy back your own BI but that too can be done.

I would ask an estate agent to provide you with a written market appraisal of the property based on a 90 day sale.
