Hi, Im getting my head around kicking off the B/R process- just a couple questions
1- should I get the court date booked now incase it takes couple weeks/months?
2- I am moving in 10 days should I put current address on forms or wait till I have moved?
3-We have had some family issues in the last year and it has become necessary for me not to allow a family member to know where I live. The likelihood of them reading the B/R section in the local rag may be quite small but I may get peace of mind if its not there. Can u ask for the full address not to be disclosed? Or can you do your B/r in a court that isn't local-does that make a difference?

in answer to your questions:
1. yes - book as soon as possible as some courts are booking anything up to 6 weeks in advance, so at least you will secure a date if you book now
2. You will need to state both addresses on the forms
3. If there is an underlying issue which means you do not wish your address to be disclosed have a work with the OR once the order has been made. You will have to have a resons which can be verified of course as the OR has a duty to advertise your details. (but exceptions can be made in certain circumstances)

You will have to have the bankruptcy order made in the place where you have resided for the greater period of the last 6 months - you cannot 'chose' which court.

Hope this helps

Ok that all makes sense- so if I get a date in 4 weeks for example I should list current address as where I will be when I move?
