my partner is going bankrupt mainly due to a joint mortgage & loan £200000 total he took out with an ex girlfriend who he agreed to pay 6000 to next month (when the mortgage period ended) when they split in 2007 to get her out of the house as she wasnt paying. due to the current climate the house is now in negative equity cant get the 6000 and he has alot of other debt, we have a 5 year old daughter but split up when she was one (this is when he bought the house with his ex) and we have a 3 month old son but he is not yet registered as the father as i live at home with my father as we have only just decided to give it another go and the relationship was on/off for a while, we cant afford to live together but want to and he pays child support to me through csa to support our daughter. we are in a mess and when he goes bankrupt it is going to seem a bit strange if we explain he pays child support etc but we are trying again in our relationship. we stay at his house at the weekends so he can see the children as a family but i do not contribute to his bills/house etc and i wont move in to his exs house as she is still causing problems and i need continuity for my children. how will the investigations percieve this situation and what can we do for the best? he is about to start renting a property which i will want to be able to visit/stay with the children but not neccissarily live there until this is all sorted, but would this be seen as dodgy if hes paying support for his daughter? complicated i know. help? please?
