I've just checked my credit, out of curiosity really. The thing is I filed br on the 13th Feb this year and a ccj was granted in the middle of march. It's my largest creditor so is over £13k.
I have 3 questions....
Should the ccj have been granted???
Should the amount owing still be outstanding???
Should I contact the OR to get the ccj removed, if possible???
Thanks in advance

Hi Chris,
I reckon the OR would have contacted this creditor and made them aware of your BR so maybe the CCJ overlapped that communication?
I would ring your OR and let them know. Doesn't sound right to me!!

Yeah, I thought it wasn't right. The thing is our OR doesn't seem to have a clue so I reckon it's down to her not carrying out her duties correctly. We, hubby filed the same day, are still receiving letters from our creditors so think there's definately something amiss......

Hi Chris,

You Can apply to the court to have the CCJ set aside on the basis you were Bankrupt.

Contact the your local county court and they will explain how this process works.

Unfortunately there will be a fee for this, but you can claim your costs back at the hearing as they should not have submitted a claim in the first instance.
