Everytime I read these posts it makes me feel a bit "Brighter" guess when the court date approaches the smile will fade a little!! I am just hoping a praying it isn't so daunting as it seems. The road ahead seems so long and we haven't actually been to court yet!!! |

Believe me it's not as daunting as you think it's going to be. I can't believe that it's nearly 4 years since I went BR, the time has flown past.
It was the best thing I could have done - it's not for everyone, but I couldn't afford my IVA repayments and a DMP wasn't an option. It gave me a clean start and since going BR I have noved on - I moved house, and I'm getting married next year.

Only when the last tree has died, the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realise that we cannot eat money.

wishfull, keep reading & posting, it really does help. I was very, very traumatised by the thought of going to court as I am so intimidated by such places. To me they are places where 'bad people' go. I know how ridiculous that sounds but that's just me. I remember a poster on here stating that The BR Law was set up for people like us who had got into such a mess & was to be used to help us start over again. (or something like that!) I realised then that I too had a right to use this legistation.
It didn't stop the nerves on court day but I still keep that thought in my head. I/We only went BR in November so I can still feeel the nerves, but as many, many people on here state "it is NEVER as bad as you think it will be.

Thanks! After 13 years together we've finally decided to make it official!
I think going BR made me less materialistic. I still want nice things, and I still want them yesterday, that's just me. THe difference is I know I have to wait!
November will be here before you know it!

Thank you everyone and many congratulations Tracy !! It is so good to hear so many positive feedbacks. I spent a long time building up the nerve to post, but so glad I did!! We will be ringing the court in the next week or so for our appointment, will be at Brighton I think anyone been there??
My Hubby seems to be in a better place than I am at the moment and just wants the day to come and know what we are dealing with. Will be good to answer the phone again and look forward to the post decreasing!!!

you do not mention who is doing the painting ?
you say good things come to those that wait but surely watching paint dry is not an option.

Richard...Cheek! Me of course!
Score so far..Woman 1 - Wall 0
1 wall down, 1 more to go. Hoping to surprise Hubby when he gets home with the finished paintwork, despite technical hitches of roller breaking and flamin' bristles falling out of brush!!
Doesn't paint get everywhere. Bit of cleaning up to do me thinks.
p.s. Paint is drying beautifully.

Todays coping strategy has been baking, baking & yes, more baking. Now coming from one who hates doing anything in the kitchen, this is amazing.
I think the time may be right for me to return to work. LOL

Well done on being able to return to work.
My last long bout of sickness was 4 months and I really didn't want to go back!
Never got the baking bug though!
