Thanks Richard and Jayne,

Thank you for that - my wife is looking after the youngest grandson (14 months old), I will probably collect the eldest grandaughter (aged 8 yrs) and Carla our daughter, and very proud mum of 3 now, will hopefully be home later today - hopes for 6 hour discharge if the Drs say OK - so wil do that then - plus my car needs petrol!!!

I see the funny side of no petrol... I have £10 in case though!

I wish you and Jayne all the best for the festive season and hope that 2010 will be better for us all... As I said, until today this was awful - now 2009 will bring a happy memory for when we are old(er) and gtey(er)!!

Thanks Skippy and thanks Dave.

I have to say I have a silly grin on my face at the moment!! (Sillier than usual some might say!)

It is a wonderful end to a year that has otherwise been filled with so much stress and strain.

Here is to a very Happy 2010 to all (Yes, it is a bit early, I know)

Hi Buzzrock

Thanks, you are so right!

I have just had a text photo sent to my mobile from my daughter - ah, makes me feel wonderful and it certainly is that perfect end to the worst year so far in my life. My wife, and I and our family will now remember 2009 for this wonderful gift!

You have a great Christmas and an even better 2010 my warmest wishes to you and yours, Richard

Thanks Richard

I have just read my stars (Aquarius) and they say "You are coming to the end of what has been a very long and difficult period and before too long you will experience a great sense of relief and freedom!"

Just thought I would share that with you

Hi again,

A wonderful thought and I hope that it will come true...

I recall the song very well too...When Jupiter alligns with Mars, then peace will guide the planets and love will steer the stars...

I am sure 2010 will be a better year for all of us.

Thanks again for your good wishes and congrats, my warmest regards to you and yours, Richard

Hi Melanie,

Thank you for the good wishes - it is the best end to a sh** year as you have said.

I have only seen a photo so far and that is on my pc now - we are waiting to see if Carla comes out of hospital today or stays in overnight.

At the moment I have a grin from ear to ear!! Long may that be the case - money cannot buy the joy of children and grandchildren - I am indeed lucky!

Speak soon, Richard
